Z E N E V S K I D E K R E T - NECU DA BUDEM DIO JEBENE MASE!!

1983 u Jugoslaviji punk jedva da je disao.
Od starijih punk bendova jedino su jos legendarni Pankrti
prasili po svome.
U Sarajevu se sve vise pricalo o "novom primitivizmu",
BG avangarda sa pocetka 80-tih je postajala nesto drugo
slicno ZG bendovima.
Tamo negdje u Ljubljani su neki novi cupavi punkeri svirali
neku novu muziku, za koju se govorilo da i nije punk,
vec nesto jos mnogo gore i da je tu jedini cilj svirati sto brze.
Upravo onako kako su nekada tvrdili i za stari punk.
Sa lokalnog radija se jos uvijek mogla cuti poneka vesela novovalna pjesma.
I to je bilo sve!
Te 1983 Mostar je zivio svoju apatiju i nije bilo nikakvog znaka
da ce se u vjecitom crvenom Mostaru ikada ista promjeniti.
Mostar je jos uvijek bio bez punk benda i bez ikakve underground
scene.
Nije postojalo neko mjesto gdje se mogla cuti takva muzika,
niti je bilo dovoljno ljudi koji bi se mogli organizovati i
izmjeniti takvo stanje...mrtvo i beznadezno.
Oni malobrojni punkeri, koji su se mogli izbrojati na prst jedne ruke bili su prepusteni sami sebi.
Bezopasni, oni su predstavljali samo smijesnu pojavu i neku novu nakaradnu modu.
A bili smo samo neka nova djeca, koja su trazila svoje mjesto kojeg nije bilo...
Mi smo ipak uporno nastavili da ga trazimo.
Punkerisanje se uglavnom svodilo na kupovanje najeftinijeg pica i slusanja lose presnimljenih kaseta u necijem stanu.
Slusanje muzike nam je bila jedina zabava kroz koju smo izbacivali sav taj bijes i bunt koji su se gomilali u nama.
Bilo smo drugaciji i zbog toga prezreni.
A bili smo samo neka nova djeca koja su slusala drugaciju muziku.
Muziku koja ce neke od nas obiljeziti i promjeniti zauvijek.
Poslije toga vise nista nije bilo isto.
...a nekada je dovoljno sasvim malo da se zaljubis u muziku i osjetis njenu jasnu poruku.
Te 1983 Habi i Tanja ce pokrenuti i prvi punk fanzin "Pod udarom svijeta", ciji je naziv upravo imao namjeru da opise te bespomocno stanje koje je vladalo u gradu kada je punk u pitanju. Poceli su da se uspostavljaju prvi kontakti sa punxima i bendovima iz ostalih gradova, rade prvi intervjui i pisu prve recenzije. Kasnije ce se u pripremi drugog broja ukljuciti jos neki ljudi.
Stvari su napokon pocele da se krecu u pozitivnome smjeru. Nastaje i prvi text; pjesma Mostar (u nesto duzoj verziji). Rada se i ideja za osnivanjem benda.
Uradili smo prvi plakat i prvu knjizica sa textovima.
Na knjizici sa textovima je stajao naziv prvog mostarskog punk benda: "KULTURNO NEVASPITANI".
Dobra volja ce biti jedino sa cime je bend raspolagao.
O instrumentima smo mogli samo da sanjamo, cinilo nam se tada.
Na kraju cemo ipak, poslije mnogih pokusaja nekako uspjeti srediti i prostoriju.
Da zadovoljstvo bude vece - u prostoriji su se nalazili i svi potrebni instrumenti. Samo sta sad sa njima!!?
Jedini uslov da dobijemo prostoriju bio je da bubnjeve svira covjek koji je raspolagao sa prostorijom. Nismo ga poznavali, ali posto nam je trebao bubnjar, naravno pristali smo.
Jedino je jos ostalo da promjenimo naziv benda, jer se oko toga nikako nismo slagali.
Na sljedecoj probi donio sam listu sa 5 prijedloga. Jedan od tih prijedloga, sjecam se dobro, bio je i naziv "RADNICKI SAVJET". Potajno sam se nadao da ce upravo taj naziv najvise dopasti i drugima.
Vecina ostalih prijedloga su bila uglavnom u istom buntovnom stilu.
Jedino je naziv "ZENEVSKI DEKRET" zvucao "normalnije" jer nije asocirao na socijalisticku svakodnevnicu o kojoj se jos uvijek nije smijelo otvoreno govoriti, niti je se smjelo kritikovati. Na kraju ce taj prijedlog biti i izglasan.
Prvu postavu "ZENEVSKOG DEKRETA" su cinili: Habi-vokal Koka-gitara Roza-bas Luka-bubanj.
Nevjesti sviranju, trebalo nam je nekoliko mjeseci mukotrpnog vjezbanja da uspijemo napraviti i prvi repertoar od 4-5 pjesama. Prava je steta sto nista od snimaka nije sacuvano, iako je par proba snimano na obicnom kasetofonu. Pa je moguce da ti snimci ipak mozda negdje i postoje.
Danas bi to bila prava poslastica za ljubitelja noise punka.
Muziku benda iz toga prvog perioda je tesko definisati. To nije bio trash kako se ranije navodilo. Basista Roza se odusevljavo Sarlo Akrobatom pa je uporno pokusavao da bas linije tako i zvuce. Bubnjar je lupao prelaze non-stop, dok je Koka sa gitarom pravio nevidenu buku.
Ja sam se pokusavao snaci se u svemu tome i pjevanje je bilo dosta melodicno, iako je sve prosto prstalo od buke. Mislim da je muzika ipak bila najblize nekom sporijem raw chaos punku sa anarhicnim textovima, te prilicno melodicnim pjevanjem. Valjda necu da pogrjesim tvrdeci da je ZD bio medu prvim anarcho punk bendovima na nasim prostorima.
Krajem 1984 bend ce napustiti bubnjar, sto je bilo i ocekivati, jer je on iskljucivo slusao rock muziku pa sigurno da mu je dozlogrdila sva ta buka. Bez njega u bendu, ostali smo i bez prostorije i bez instrumenata. Roza ce nam ipak na kraju uspjeti pronaci slobodan prostor u svojoj staroj kuci u Santicevoj ulici, u kojoj cemo svirati jos dosta dugo. Zbilja sjajan covjek! (hvala puno ROZA ma gdje bio).
Roza je inace bio neobicno spor basista i on je svaki ton na basu "izvlacio" haha. Mi smo vec uveliko bili u hc fazonu, pa je Roza pocetkom 1985 (nakon sto je dobio bolove u desnoj ruci, a da mi zapravo i nismo svirali puno brze he) istupio iz benda.
Koka je presao na bas, dok ce novi clan benda postati stari panker Golub koji ce biti zaduzen za sviranje gitare.
Ja sam tada pjevao i lupao bubnjeve.

Napokon su postojali uslovi da raspalimo zestoki hc trash po uzoru na bendove koje smo tada puno slusali: Kaaos, Discharge, Risttetyt, Appendix, Anti-Cimex, Disorder...
Taj period je mozda najludi i najzesci period u istoriji benda. Kad se sjetim kako su nas samo gledali ucenici iz obliznjih skola (saobracajna i elektro skola su se nalazile u blizine zgrade gdje smo vjezbali) svaki put kad bi se polugluhi, sa bolom u usima pojavili na ulici poslije nasih proba.
Hard Core Punk je definitivno dosao i u Mostar!!!
U toj postavi cemo odrzati i prvi nastup na prvomajskom koncertu na Buni u blizini Mostara. Nastup ce izazvati totalno iznenadenje za totalno nespremnu publiku.
Golub i Koka su svo vrijeme nastupa bili okrenuti ledima publici, a ja za bubnjevima sam se derao iz petnih zila. Sve to se odigravalo u sred bijela dana. Drama!!

Po prvi put se u Mostaru mogao cuti naljuci HC trash koji se tada uopste svirao.
Nas nastup je ipak izazvao i pozitivne reakcije. Jedan od prisutnih ce nam i cestitati na vrlo efektivnom nastupu i izraziti cak zelju da nam se pridruzi. Vec na sljedecoj probi Kuzma je bio nas novi gitarista. Golub ce napokon preuzeti duuugo zeljeni bas, Koka prelazi za mikrofon a ja cu nastaviti da lupam bubnjeve.
Vec ranije smo bili poslali garazne snimke nekim ljudima u Ljubljani i dobili pozitivan odgovor za ucestovanje na HC festi. U vrlo kratkom vremenu uspjeli smo uspjeli sa Kuzmom odrzati par intenzivnih proba svirajuci i dalje u istom trash tempu.
Koncert u Ljubljani je prosao prilicno zapazeno, a 1986 godine ce se u ediciji SKUC-a pojaviti i video zapis sa tog koncerta pod nazivom "Ni u strahu" kao i kasetno izdanje "Cudeza ne bo".
Ubrzo poslije Ljubljane trebali smo odrzati i koncert sa mostarskim rokerima "Zemljotresom" u cuvenoj mostarskoj "Pecini" ali na tom koncertu nismo uspjeli odsvirati niti jednog tona.
Koka ce odmah po izlasku na scenu, pijan da se skljoka u publiku.
To je bio zadnji nastup trasherske postave ZD.
Vec sljedeci dan ja sam bio na putu za vojnu kasarnu u Skoplju.
Moje mjesto u bendu preuzeo je Tocha, koji ce se odlicno uklopiti u bend.
Nakon nekoliko mjeseci vjezbanja, bend je snimio i prvi demo u studiu B. Cinca u LJubljani. Demo sadrzi 8 pjesama umjerenog HC punka. Ubrzo poslije snimanja 1. dema i Koka odlazi u JNA. U tom periodu naseg odsustva se nista znacajnije nije ne desavalo u radu benda osim nekih sitnih priprema te trazenja boljeg prostora za vjezbanje.
1987 smo ponovo svi bili na okupu. Ovaj put smo ja i Koka trebali da pjevamo, sto je predstavljalo pravi izazov. Tada nije postojao niti jedan domaci bend koji je oprobao varijantu sa dva pjevaca. Nakon visemjesecnih proba i prvog samostalnog koncerta na Alternativnoj sceni Doma Mladih u Mostaru ipak odustajemo od novog koncepta.
Pod nestho nesretnim okolnostima Koka prestaje da bude clan benda. Taj period ce inace obiljeziti i najvece promjene u bendu. Gitarista Kuzma je htio da sviramo umjereniji punk hc, sa uticajima alternativne muzike koju je navise i slusao. Dok se ostalima ipak svirala zesca muzika.
Upravo zbog neslaganja oko izbora pravca koji cemo da sviramo, Kuzma ce napustiti bend. Grupi ce se prikljuciti Djoko, covjek koji je vladao za najboljeg gitaristu u gradu.
Postava iz 1987 : Habi-vocal Djoka-gitara Golub-bas Tocha-bubnjevi.
Ova postava ce biti i koncertno najaktivnija, pa smo tokom 1987 odsvirali niz najuspjesnijih koncerata. Mozda treba ipak izdvojiti koncert u Dubrovniku gdje smo smo dozivjeli ogromne ovacije i vise puta smo bili vracani na binu, a Tocha ce bacanjem u publiku posudenih i jebeno skupih palica postati zvjezda veceri hehe...
Brzo smo zaboravili sve ovacije iz publike i osjecaj jako uspjesnog nastupa, kad su razljuceni momci iz "Osmog Putnika" navalili na nas trazeci svoje palice nazad.
Tocha ce neposredno prije snimanja drugog dema napusti bend i grupi ce se prikljuciti Mujic.
U sarajevskom studiju VOG, u produkciji Zeljka Mandica snimiljen je 2 demo koji sadrzi 6 stilski dosta razlicitih pjesama. 3 pjesme su cisti crossover HC, ostale u starom punk maniru a zadnja pjesma "Hit" je zajebantska nabarajalica napravljena u rappunk stilu. Poslije snimanja dema bend prakticno vise nece odrzati ni jedne probe. Djoko je vec od ranije imao bend, pa ce to biti razlog napustanja benda.
Novi bubnjar Mujic ce iz slicnih razloga da istupi iz benda.
Pjesme sa 2 dema ce se pojavit na mnogim kompilacija u ex-Yu i sire ("Nasa cetica koraka" "R'n'R je mrtav ipak" "Fuck Vivisection"...).
1988 smo uspostavili i kontakt sa izdavackom kucom Secro Egoismo iz Austrije i dobili ponudu da se pojavimo na kompilacijskom LP "Return of Yugoslavia".
Uslov je bio da ulozimo dio novca, posto su stampanje ploce finansirali sami bendovi.
Naravno ulozeni novac je poslije objavljivanja ploce bendovima bio vracen kroz odredeni broj ploca.
Golub i Habi se odlucuju da uloze taj novac, a sto ce se vrlo brzo pokazati pametnim potezom.
Za ovu plocu se slobodno moze reci da je predstavljala prekretnicu u radu benda i da je bila najuspjesnije predstavljanje benda nesto siroj publici.
Bend ce dobiti iskljucivo dobre kritike a pjesma "Necu da budem dio jebene mase" je postala veliki hit ne samo u punk krugovima.
U tom periodu smo dobili i najvise ponuda zu svirke van Mostara, ali nazalost od toga nece biti nista.
U aprilu 1989 smo se ipak uspjeli okupiti i odrzati jedini nastup u toj postavi u sarajevskoj Akademiji Scenskih Umjetnosti, zajedno sa rijeckom grupom Grch.
Koncert je prosao dosta dobro uz nevideno divljanje publike i Krizino bacanje suzavca.
Nije se samo publika odlicno zabavila to vece. Ja sam divljajuci sa publikom na uskoj bini, iznenada pao kroz zavjesu, u backstage, pravo na stol za kojim su sjedili i pili momci iz Grcha (koji su tada inache vazili za namraciji bend u ex-YU). Mislim da su bili u zavrsnim pripremama za skori izlazak na scenu kad sam ih ja svojim nenajavljenim padom jednostavno prestaravio ha ha
Sta je sad ovo!? Sta se to zapravo desava!?? mogao sam procitati tu zacudenost na njihovim licima. Nazdravio sam se sa zbunjenim Zofom, pjevacem Grcha, otpio malo piva i sa stola skocio nazad na scenu. Ovo sve skupa nije trajalo duze od 10 sekundi, ali ova scena ce se urezati u sjecanje kao jedno od najzabavnijih koncertnih dogadaja koje sam dozivio. A bilo ih je zaista mnogo.
Ovaj nastup ce biti i zadnje sto je ova postava ZD uradila.
Da ploca ”Return of Yougoslavia” nije prosla nezapazeno potvrdice kasnije i dogovor sa nezavisnim izdavacem iz Novog Sada, koji ce pokazati zainteresovanost za objaljivanjem prvog samostalnog albuma.
Golub i Habi ce se dati u potragu za novim clanovima.
Duje je nam je vec od ranije bio poznat kao zanimljiv gitarista, a poslije par uspjesnih proba nije bilo vise nikakve sumnje da je on bio gitarista kakav je ZD tada trebao. Sa njim smo uspjeli uvjezbati nekih 5-6 novih pjesama koje su se trebale naci na prvome albumu. Rat ce nam ipak pokvariti sve planove.
Neke od tih pjesama su ipak kasnije snimljene u Svedskoj. Osim Duje postavu iz 1990/91 cinili su jos i talentovani gitarista i sjajni momak Ljuba, te fotograf, majstor zvuka i dokazani bubnjar Sale.

Rat pocinje...i svi mi cemo odlaziti, nestajati, polagano, nevidljivo, gubiti se, traziti se... po nekim nasim/vasim/njihovim/tudim/ prokletim stranama...bog ce ga vise znati.
Uglavnom JEBEM TI RAAAAAAAT!!!!
Golub i Habi odlaze za Svedsku, a o sviranju i bendu vise niko i ne razmislja.
1997 ce se u svedskom gradu Norrköping-u ipak desiti neke stvari.
Tu ce naci Golub, Habi, Mujic i gitarista Haris. To ce biti nova postava ZD, koja ce poslije nekoliko mjeseci vjezbanja snimiti 12 pjesama, koje ce se dosta razlikovati od ranijeg materijala.
Ovaj put je muzika bila vise u '77 punku stilu. Po jedna pjesma sa 1 i sa 2 dema bit ce ponovo snimljene.
Tu ce se naci i obrada pjesme "Blues" od grupe Proces, koju smo inace ranije rado svirali uzivo.
Napokon je snimljena i "Moja Generacija", stvar koja se trebala naci na 2 demu. Samo ovaj put bez uvodnog crossover rifa.

Odmah poslije snimanja, grupa je prestala sa radom, a uskoro su svi clanovi benda zbog posla i ostalih obaveza promjenili mjesto boravka.
Nikada vise nece ni biti nekog ozbiljnijeg pokusaja da se bend ozivi i da se uradi nesto konkretnije.
Poslije ovog razlaza bend nikada vise imao neki scenski nastup.
Haris je poslije svirao u HC bendu "BLOCKBASTARDS" koji su snimili prilicno zanimljiv materijal i napravili jednu kracu turneju po Evropi.
Habi ce da saraduje sa punk grupom "HIPPY CRASHER" na snimanju njihovog prvog dema.
2004 ce snimiti i demo "Alkohol" u kucnoj produkciji.
Planirano je snimanje citavog materijala ali to ipak nije realizovano.
Iste godine ce kao clan zajebantskog punksession kolektiva "C.E.TRIO" snimiti demo sa kojega se jedna pjesma mogla cuti na svedskom omladinskom radiju.
2006 ponovo odlucuje da pokrene dugo planirani NE! records sa namjerom da objavi neka vinilna izdanja (prvenstveno ex-YU HC punk bendovima).
Te planove ipak odloze za kasnije zbog pokusaja da se ponovo ozivi ZD, sto ce se uskoro pokazati dosta neefikasnim pokusajem, pa sredinom marta 2007 ponovo pokrece NE! records.
Saradnja sa Mamma Rec. iz N. Sada ce se biti dosta uspjesna.
Poslije samo otprilike dva mjeseca je objavljen prvi EP Zenevskog Dekreta "Necu da budem dio jebene mase!"
Ovaj EP je prvo samostalno izdanje ZD.

In 1983 punk in Yugoslavia hardly was breathing.
Among old punk bands only legendary band Pankrti was kicking ass.
In Sarajevo more and more was heard about “new primitivism” but Belgrade’s avant-garde from early 80’s became something else - similar to bands from Zagreb. Somewhere in Ljubljana some new hairy punks played new music, which was not punk, but something worse, and the only aim was to play the fastest you can.
Just like they used to say about old punk.
From local radio station you could still hear lively new wave songs. And that was all!
In 1983rd Mostar lived its apathy, and there was no sign that anything is going to ever change in eternally red Mostar.
There were no punk bands or underground scene at all in Mostar. There were no places where you could hear this kind of music, and there weren’t enough people that you could organize something and change the situation…deadly and hopeless.
Those few punks which you could count on one arms fingers were left to their own resources - abandoned to themselves.
Harmless, to the majority we just represented silly appearance and new, ugly fashion. But we were just new kids searching for our place… which was not found. But stubborn as we were, we continued to search for it.
Punk ment buying the cheapest drink and listen mostly bad copies of tapes in someone’s apartment.
Hidden from “their red street” which didn’t want us, music was the instrument for throwing out the anger and helplesness accumulated in ourselves.
We were different and because of that ignored. But we were just new (young) kids which listened the different kind of music.
Music which had marked some of us and changed us for ever.
After that nothing was the same again.
…sometimes very little is enough to fall in love with music and feel its clear message.
In 1983 Habi and Tanja started with first punk fanzine “Under worlds pressure ” which name had intention to describe helpless situation in town. First contacts started to reestablish between punx and bands from other cities, first interviews were made, first reviews had been written… later, more people were involved in preparation of second number of the fanzine. Things were finally moving in positive direction. First lyric was written: song Mostar (in longer version). The idea about forming band was also created. First poster and first textbook were made. On it’s cover was written the name of the first Mostarian punk band “KULTURNO NEVASPITANI” (“culturally spoilt”). Good will was the only thing what band had and we could only dream about the instruments. But in the end, after many attempts, we found a place. There were all the instruments we needed in that room. But what to do with them? The only condition to get the place was that the owner plays drums. We didn’t know him, but we needed a drummer, so, of course, we accepted him. We did not agree about the name of the band, that’s why we were thinking about changing it. You could remark already then how hard was to play punk in Mortar in those days.
At next rehearsal I brought a list with five suggestions. One of those suggestions I remember very well. It was “Radnicki savjet”. Deep down I hoped this name will be accepted. Most of other suggestions were were in rebeliuos manner. Only the name “Zenevski dekret” sounded kind of “normal” and it did not associate on socialist everyday life, which was not allowed to talk about openly or to criticize. At the end this suggestion was chosen.
The first line up of ZD was:
Habi – vocal, Koka – guitar, Roza – bass and Luka – drums.
We were unskilled so we needed a few months of enduring and hard practice. But after that we made our first repertoire of 4 – 5 songs. We recorded a few rehearsals on tape recorder. It is really bad that these tapes are not saved, but who knows, perhaps they still exist somewhere. Today they must be real dessert for sympathizers of noise punk.
It is hard to define music from the first period of bands existence. It was not trash. Our bass player Roza loved Sarlo Akrobata band, so he tried to make bass sound like theirs. Drummer played crossings all the time and Koka made terrible noise with guitar. In all that mess I tried to found myself – my singing was very melodic, although everything together sounded very noisy and loud.
In my opinion music was close to slower raw chaos punk with anarchic lyrics and pretty melodic singing.
I am not sure, but I think ZD was one of the first anarchic punk bands on this territory.
At the end of 1984 drummer left the band. It was expected because he exclusively listened to rock, so he probably was sick of all the noise we made.
With him we lost the place and all the instruments but Roza succeeded to find space for us in his old house in Santic Street. We practiced there for a long time, and whenever we wanted. Really great man! (thanks a lot ROZA wherever you are).
Roza was extremely slow bass player, haha, but the rest of us were already deep in hc mood, so in the beginning of 1985 Roza left the band (after he got pains in his right arm, ...and we even didn’t play faster, haha).
Koka took over bass with pleasure and the new member of the band became old punx Golub appointed for playing guitar.

Finally we started to play strong hc trash, like bands we liked and listened to a lot - Kaaos, Riistetyt, Discharge, Anti-Cimex, Appendix, Chaos UK, Disorder...
This might be the craziest period in band’s history. It’s funny to remember how kids from nearest school were looking at us every time we were on the street half deaf after rehearsals. Hardcore punk definitely came to Mostar, as well!!!
With this line up we had our first live appearance at concert in Buna (near Mostar). We were surprise for totally unprepared public. All along the show Golub and Koka were turned backward to the audience and I was behind drums screaming with the top of my voice.
And all that was happening in the middle of the day. Disaster!!
For the first time you could here the angriest hc trash playing in Mostar.
However, we got some positive reactions too. One of the attendants congratulated us for very effective show and expressed his wish to join the band.
On next rehearsal Kuzma became our new guitar player. Golub took the bass he wanted so much, Koka became singer, and I continued with drums.
Before that, we already have sent some garage records to people from Ljubljana and got positive answer for taking place at HC party.
In short time we had few intensive rehearsals, playing in same raw trash spirit.
Gig in Ljubljana was outstanding. In 1986 in SKUC edition the first video tape named “Ni u strahu” recorded at that gig appeared - and also tape record “Cudeza ne bo”. Soon after the gig in Ljubljana we should have gig with Mostar’s rockers “Zemljotres” in famous Mostar’s club “Pećina”. But we did not play a sound that night.
Koka came on stage so drunk that he fell into the audience immediately.
It was the last show of this trash line-up.
Next day I was on my way to military barracks in Skoplje.
My place in band was taken by Tocha, who fitted in perfectly.
After few months of practicing band recorded its first demo in studio B. Cinca, in Ljubljana. The demo contains 8 hc punk songs.
Soon after, in the beginning of 1986 Koka went to JNA (Yugoslav national army).
Nothing special was going on with the band in 1986, except searching for better rehearsal place. But in 1987 we are back together again.
This time Koka and I were supposed to sing what was a real challenge. In that time there were not bands that would have two singers.
After many rehearsals and the first independent gig on alternative scene in Mostar we decided to give up new concept. Koka left the band because of some unfortunate circumstances.
This period was the period of the biggest changes in bend. Guitarist Kuzma wanted to play slower punk hc, influenced with alternative music he mostly listened to.
The others wanted to play stronger and faster HC.
This disagreement about music was the main reason Kuzma.
So in came Djoko who was the best guitar player in town.
1987 line up: Habi – vocal, Djoka – guitar, Golub – bass and Tocha – drums.
This line up was the most active, so in 1987 we had many great gigs. A concert in Dubrovnik have to be mentioned. We got great ovations there and a few times we had to return back on the stage. Tocha threw borrowed and fucking expensive drum sticks into the audience and with that act became a star. Haha. Soon we forgot all ovations and a great feeling of good show when angry guys from Osmi Putnik came and asked for their sticks.
Later, Tocha left the band, and in the beginning of 1988 before recording of 2. demo Mujic joined it.
In Sarajevo studio VOG we recorded second demo which contains 6 songs in different style. Zeljko Mandic was the producer.
3 songs are pure crossover hc, others are in old punk style, and the last song is song named “Hit” - funny song made in rap punk style.
After recording of this demo band had no rehearsals, at all. Djoko already had other band before ZD, so he left. New drummer Mujic followed him.
Songs from 2 demo appeared on many compilations in ex-Yu and wider. (,,Nasa cetica koraka’’, ,,R’n’R je mrtav ipak’’, ,,Fuck Vivisection’’...).
In 1988 we made contact with Secro Egoismo records from Austria and got an offer to appear on their compilation LP “Return of Yugoslavia”.
The condition was to invest some money, because bands had to pay vinyl pressing. Of course, invested money returned to bands as specified number of finished vinyls.
Golub and Habi decided to invest the money what turned out as a smart move.
Freely, we can say that this record was turning-point in bands existence and it was the most successful bands presentation to the wider audience.
We got very good and positive critics and the song “Necu da budem dio jebene mase” became great hit, not only in punk circles. At that time we got most offers for gigs outside Mostar, but unfortunately nothing came of it.
However in April 1989 band succeded to play one and only show with this line up in Sarajevo’s Akademija Scenskih Umetnosti with Rijeka’s band called Grch. The concert turned out good with never seen jumping of the public. But public was not the only one who had a great time this evening. I have, storming together with public, on narrow stage suddenly felt through the curtain into backstage, directly on the table around which guys from Grch were sitting and drinking(at that time they were considered to be darkest band in ex-Yu). I think they were preparing themselves to come out on stage, when i scared them to death with my unexpected fall. Haha.
I could read on their faces:“What is this?! What is going on?!” I toasted with consused Zofa, Grch’s singer, had a swig of beer and jumped back on the stage. This scene didn’t last more than 10 seconds, but it stayed in my memory as one of the funniest gigs that I experienced. And they were many. Well, it was the last gig this line up have done.
That LP “Return of Yugoslavia” didn’t pass unnoticed was confirmed later with agreement with independent publisher from Novi Sad, who showed interest to publish first studio album.
Golub and Habi started to search for new members.
We knew Duje from earlier like very interesting guitar player, and after few successful rehearsals, there was no doubt he’s guitarist ZD needed. With him we practiced 5 – 6 songs for the first album, but the war spoiled it all. However some of these songs were recorded later in Sweden.
With exception of Duje, line up in 1990/1991 comprised also talented guitarist and great guy Ljuba and photographer, master of sound and proved drummer Sale.
The war begins… and all of us leave, disappear, slowly, invisible, losing and finding ourselves…in some ours/yours/theirs/foreign/damn/bloody sides...
Anyway FUCK THE WAR!!
Golub and Habi went to Sweden, and no one thought about playing.
But in 1997 in Sweden city Norrköping something is going happen.
There Golub, Habi, Mujic and guitarist Haris will meet. It will be new line up of ZD. After few months of practicing we entered the studio and recorded 12 songs, different than earlier material. This time band sounded like 77 punk style.
One song from 1st and one song from 2nd demo were recorded again. Also we recorded cover song “Blues”, originally performed by Proces.
Finally we recorded song “Moja generacija” (My generation), which had to be on the 2nd demo. This time without introductory crossover riff.
Soon after recording band stopped working, all members moved to different places because of work and other obligations. After this, band did not have gigs anymore.
There won’t be any attempts to revive band and do something concrete.
